Charge
To assess preparation of residents and recent graduates for existing and evolving practice settings, identify opportunities for improvement in pathology training, and develop suggestions for interventions, interactions or products to enhance the recruitment of medical students into pathology and the ability of future graduates to practice pathology.

Activities of Committee
- Identify the impact of trends in medical education on the ability to effectively recruit and train pathologists, including trends in undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, and Maintenance of Certification.
- Recommend interventions, interactions or products to the Council on Education that will enhance the ability to recruit medical students into pathology, and the ability of recent graduates to practice pathology.
- Facilitate communication across organizations that impact pathology training including but not limited to the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Association of Pathology Chairs/Program Directors Section (APC/PRODS), the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education/Residency Review Committee (ACGME/RRC), the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Board of Pathology (ABP), the Association of Directors of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology (ADASP), the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists (ACLPS), and the Unites States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP).
- Facilitate exchange of information, tools and resources across pathology training programs.
- Evaluate Resident Forum resolutions and recommend action to the Council on Education.
